This past June I was part of a beautifully curated show on Paper organised by curator and BobCat Gallery founder, Catherine Sweet.
‘Pushing paper to test Limits’ featured intricate origami, meditative paper cut images and installations, collages, and a several unique works created with handmade papers through a variety of traditional and modern techniques. Of the show, Catherine Sweet, says: “These works are brought together to explore the many ways paper can be used as a medium as well as a surface – everything from folding it to cutting it, collaging and creating sculpture. This is a wonderful chance to delve into the inspirations and craftsmanship of these talented creators, who are pushing paper to its limits.”I presented Ego Skin N’3, part of a body of work I did back in 2005 with inlayed interior lining of envelopes.
I had made a series of 18 collages all together and only N3 and N5 are still remaining. Of the show, Catherine Sweet, says: “These works are brought together to explore the many ways paper can be used as a medium as well as a surface – everything from folding it to cutting it, collaging and creating sculpture.
